      Yakitori or chicken skewers


      Ingredients for 4 persons :

      • 4 chicken breasts
      • 20 cl of coconut milk
      • 2 tbsp. peanut butter
      • 1 tbsp. tablespoon honey (or brown sugar)
      • 1 tsp. turmeric powder
      • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
      • the juice of half a lime + 2 limes
      • 1 tbsp. peanut oil
      • salt and pepper

      Preparation steps

      1. In a bowl, mix the peanut butter with the honey, turmeric, soy sauce, lemon juice and peanut oil. Add salt and pepper.
      2. Cut the chicken breasts into strips. Brush them with lemon sauce. Leave to marinate for 30 minutes.
      3. Thread the strips on wooden skewers and cook them under the broiler for about 8 minutes, turning them regularly.
      4. Add the coconut milk to the lemon sauce. Bring to the boil and let reduce for a few minutes.
      5. Serve the chicken skewers with the lemon sauce and the halved limes on the side.
